Hey there lovebirds and adventure seekers! Ready to sprinkle a bit of romance into your life? Well, welcome to Kauai! The garden isle’s Aloha spirit wraps around you like a warm, welcoming hug. The locals radiate friendliness, making you feel like you've found a home away from home. It's the kind of vibe that turns a vacation into a lifetime of cherished memories.
This Hawaiian gem is like the love child of Mother Nature and Cupid. The cascading waterfalls and golden beaches create a backdrop so dreamy it makes Disney movies jealous. Seriously, if love were a destination, it would be Kauai. We recently spent a week there and have not stopped talking about it. It was gorgeous beyond gorgeous.
Kauai isn't just about sipping drinks on the beach (though that’s a solid option if that is your jam). But, it's a thrill-seeker's dream! Hike through the jaw-dropping Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. You will want to bring proper hiking boots though because it can rain a lot. It is so worth the amazing views and should not be missed. Plus, you will see hundreds of friendly chickens in the canyon, as well as everywhere on the island. And don’t worry if it starts out foggy~ at first we could not see anything, but it all cleared up and we were wowed!
You may want to channel your inner Tarzan and Jane with a zipline adventure through the lush treetops. Nothing says "I love you" like conquering a zipline together, right? We did not get to do that this time, but our rafting adventure to see the Napali Coast was phenomenal!
This is who we booked though: Raft Adventure - Na Pali Coast with Beach Landing. They are one of 3 companies that can go on land in that area. We did not get to do that because the waves were too strong, but if you are not there in winter, you may get to. Plus, we saw a shark swim right in front of us! I can’t remember if that was before or after we rafted into a cave that about spit us out like a washing machine. It was SO fun!
If you want enviable Instagramable photos, Kauai serves up sunsets that would make even Monet rethink his masterpiece choices. Picture this: you and your better half, toes in the sand, watching the sun dip below the horizon, casting hues of pink, orange, and pure romance. And when the stars come out to play, Kauai's lack of city lights turns the sky into a dazzling celestial show. Let's talk about food, the language of love. Kauai's got your taste buds covered with a fusion of Hawaiian, Asian, and Pacific flavors….oh, so ono! Or, like they say in Hawaii, “It broke da mouth”. Picture a beachfront dinner, the ocean breeze in your hair, and a plate of fresh poke. Trust us; your taste buds will be doing the hula. A great tip is to go to Foodland and get your poke from the deli. It is ono and cheap!
